Information zum Album Dusty World

Stimmen zum ersten Album "Dusty World":
(Legacy)

Song-Texte / Dusty World

doctor dear doctor
doctor dear doctor
please open my head
take her memory away
make her disappear
and most important of all
can you erase
her beautiful face
you are laughing with the guys
and i leave without goodbye
you don‘t have to wonder
where i am
i am walking in the rain
try to carve out my brain
put something toxic in it
and let it smoke
refrain
how i hate this pretty girl
just like i love this pretty girl
and i believe it would be the same
if i‘d be blind
and how i love this pretty girl
just like i hate this pretty girl
and i know it would be the same
if i‘d be blind
refrain
if we ever meet again
don‘t be surprised if i act strange
cause i don‘t recognize you anymore
i don‘t even know your name
it won‘t ever be the same
why you‘re cryin dear?
it‘s your own fault

behind me
well i sat in a garden
it was the madison square
and i wondered
will my baby be there
she was behind me,
she was behind me
she was behind me
and i couldn‘t see her cry
i was surprised by her absence
and my wife she did not know
that i was missing the girl
that i love so
refrain
the people by my side
who came to watch them play
they didn‘t see her
and they didn‘t hear her say
you can‘t find me
you cannot find me
you can‘t find me
and i promise you
today you will die
now my children they were shouting
daddy watch out
get down and duck your head
it was too late
i felt a bullet in my side
refrain

who pretends to be a lady
you’re standing there shivering
in your black lingerie
with your silky red stockings
and your long front-lace-wig
and you wonder if they like you
even though you are a man
who pretends to be a lady
you are so afraid
before the curtain goes up
these lines you learned so dearly
you whispering them again
some dirty hot jokes
that would tempt any man
refrain
and you wonder if they like you
even though you are a guy
who pretends to be a women
deep inside you‘re really shy
before the curtain goes up
you don´t care if they like you
even though you are a boy
who pretends to be a girl
cause deep inside you‘re filled with joy
before the curtain goes down

once again
i‘ve got a crush on you
maybe you don´t know it
but i´m afraid
you know it for sure
i won´t make the same mistake
like everytime
so I won´t tell you
that I love you
and once again
there is no love
just pain
and once again
i don´t feel love
i just feel pain
ev‘rytime we meet
the wine starts flowing
i take you in my arms
and your eyes are glowing
i would need you for a lifetime
you just need me for the moment
by the way you treat me
that‘s clearly showing
refrain

ambers lying
(Instrumental)

countess of blood
my lovely countess of blood
you almost
persuaded me enough
but i can´t marry you today
cause my true love
is waiting out there
in the graveyard
she was a whore in vienna
and you didn´t give a damn
so your soldiers caught her
with a wink of your hand
you were bathing in her blood
till it all ran cold
just because you were so scared of
getting old…
refrain

dusty world
on the cemetary
i met a busty girl
she said why are you still here
in such a dusty world
then we danced all day
and we danced all night
we danced without music –
we danced away the light
her name was ophelia
it was written on her stone
she handed me a cup with wine
and said i don´t wanna drink alone
so we drank all day
we drank all night
we drank without end
until we drank away the light
she wore pretty stockings
and had a really charming smile
so i found a place for us
where we could stay a while
there we stayed all day
and we stayed all night
we stayed there together
till the night never became light

and if you ask me
i´m gonna move to a city
where it rains everyday
where the gardens are wildered
and the houses are grey
there will be no more colors
no more rainbows in style
no more pretty girls
so i will stay for a while
and if you ask me
if i still want you
i´m not sure, babe,
i´m not sure
but if i find my heart again
it will be yours,
it will be yours
and i send you a postcard
with meaningless lines
where weeping willows are pictured
and a sun that don´t shines
there´s a photo of me
wearing a stonecrafted crown
cause i am now king
of my own lonely town
refrain

goodbye my love
standing on this chair
puddles everywhere
and like all those days before
you´re still lying on the floor
goodbye my love
it was a wonderful year
goodbye my love
i won´t leave you here alone
outside it is snowing
but inside tears are flowing
you look like snowwhite
sleeping there
with your beautiful black hair
christmas time is coming
listen; you can hear them humming
all those magnificent christmas songs
sing with me along
refrain
hey santa
can you take us with you
to your cotton candy land
come on my darling
we´ll jump on his sley
gimme your hand
refrain

she‘s collecting hearts
i wrote her love letters
and i´ve sung her love songs
but all she would do
was to leave me alone
a few little kisses
and charming words on the phone
she told me she missed me
then she left me alone
and it is no secret
since we´ve been apart
i tell you people
she´s collecting hearts
she has the prettiest face
that i saw in my life
and i´d give ev´rything
if she would be my wife
but i wasn´t the only one
who dreamed about her at night
now i´m the only one
who lost all of his pride
refrain
